Free estimatesTruck-mounted extraction

Truck-mounted, not a rental.

Professional carpet cleaning uses hot water extraction to loosen what’s embedded in the fibers and powerful suction to pull it — and the water — back out. Ours runs off the truck, so the suction is far beyond anything that plugs into a wall.

Supermarket rental machines are fine for a small spill or a quick refresh before guests. On high-traffic areas, pet homes, older carpet or stains that have reached the pad, they tend to leave water behind and push dirt deeper.

What truck-mounted extraction does

  • Stronger suctionPulls out debris from deep in the pile, not just the surface.
  • Hot water extractionLoosens embedded dirt, allergens and residue.
  • Better moisture controlLess water left behind means faster drying and no musty smell.
  • Residue removalSoap left in carpet attracts dirt — this takes it out, so it stays clean longer.

Area rugs.

From everyday synthetics to oriental, wool and handmade rugs — cleaned deep, where dirt hides between the layers, without making the colors run or fade.

  • Low-traffic rooms

    Every 12–18 months.

  • Living and dining rooms

    Every 6–12 months.

  • Entryways, playrooms, pets or kids

    Every 3–6 months.

  • Allergies in the house

More often than the room alone suggests.

Upholstery cleaning.

Sofas and chairs collect the same dust, dander and grime as carpet — they just get sat on instead of walked on. Every piece is inspected before it’s cleaned, then deep-cleaned to lift dirt, stains and odors out of the fabric.

What we clean

  • Couches and sofas
  • Love seats
  • Chairs

Signs it’s time.

Carpets don’t create indoor-air problems — they store them. Dust, pollen and pet dander settle deep in the pile, and every time the heat or air conditioning runs, some of it goes back into the air.

If the ductwork is carrying the same load, air duct cleaning handles the other half.

Book a cleaning if

  • Stains won't come outOr they come back days after you treat them.
  • Odors lingerEspecially from pets — or the carpet smells fine, then musty days later.
  • Colors look dullTraffic lanes, faded patches, a rug that's lost its brightness.
  • It feels sticky or roughUsually residue from shampoo or a rental machine.
  • Allergies are worse indoorsParticularly when the heat or AC is running.

Wet carpet from a leak?

That’s a water damage job.

Carpet soaked by a burst pipe, a leak or a flooded basement needs more than cleaning: the pad and the subfloor underneath have to be dried properly, or the smell and the mold come later. That's what K.O.S. Restoration does 24/7 — call and it's handled by the same company.

What it costs.

There’s no flat price: two bedrooms of wall-to-wall and a house full of carpet, rugs and a sectional aren’t the same job.

Free estimate. The price you’re quoted is the price you pay.

  • How much carpet

Bedrooms, living areas, stairs and hallways each add to the area cleaned — stairs take the most time per foot.

  • Rugs and furniture

Area rugs and upholstered pieces are quoted by size and material, since delicate fibers take more care than synthetics.

  • Condition

Traffic lanes, set-in stains and pet odors need more work to lift than a routine refresh, which adds time.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on cost, drying and what we clean.

How much does carpet cleaning cost?

It depends on how much carpet there is, how many rugs and pieces of furniture are in the job, and how heavily soiled or stained they are. The estimate is free, and the price you're quoted is the price — no hidden fees.

Is professional carpet cleaning worth it over a rental machine?

For light spills and a quick refresh, a rental helps. For high-traffic areas, pets, older carpet or stains that have reached the pad, it usually isn't enough: rentals have far less suction, leave more water behind and can push dirt deeper. Truck-mounted extraction removes more of what's in the carpet and more of the water.

How long does carpet take to dry?

It depends on the carpet, the airflow in the room and the weather. Truck-mounted extraction pulls out far more water than a rental machine, which is what keeps drying short and avoids the damp, musty smell a slow dry can leave.

How often should area rugs be cleaned?

Every 12–18 months in low-traffic rooms, every 6–12 months in living and dining rooms, and every 3–6 months in entryways, playrooms and homes with pets or kids. Vacuum weekly in between.

Can you clean oriental and wool rugs?

Yes — oriental, wool and handmade rugs, cleaned without making the colors run or fade, as well as everyday synthetic rugs.

What furniture do you clean?

Couches, love seats, chairs and more. Every piece is inspected before cleaning.

Does carpet cleaning improve indoor air quality?

It helps, but it isn't a cure-all. Carpets hold dust, pollen and pet dander that the heating and cooling system lifts back into the air. Deep extraction removes more of it; if the ductwork is carrying the same load, air duct cleaning deals with the other half.

Do you clean carpets for businesses?

Yes — homes and businesses across Nassau and Suffolk.
